Alcova delle Fate is surrounded by a magic atmosphere in the heart of the small hamlet of Luciano, on the hills of Massarosa (LU) in Tuscany. A warm, confortable, cosy, and elegant nest, nicely kept by me, Sara, and my husband Claudio where he used to live when he was a child and where then, together we have grown up our son Kevin.
It was our first family house and now, after a detailed renovation is at your disposal for a heartwarming stay. Among stone walls and wooden beams, the blooming garden and panoramic terrace, each corner at the house is a journey for searching emotions and feelings that will turn your holiday into an unforgattable one.
The hamlet of Luciano
In the green heart of Versilia, not far from the sea and the cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence, the enchanted hamlet of Luciano is a small perched group of houses on the hills of Massarosa, a bit higher than Pieve a Elici, well known for its breathtaking romanic parish church with a fantastic panoramic view on the lake of Massaciuccoli and the Tirrenian sea with its islands.
Luciano is a small borough that took its name from the land of a certain Lucianum who settled there when the Romans arrived in Versilia.
In this little village, in the 19th century, important people lived there such as the poet Carducci, M. Pellegrini, the patriot Luigi Carlo Farina and above all, Michele Marcucci (1846-1926), the great artist born in Massarosa who, with his paintings, embellished a lot of churches in Lucca, in Massarosa and, among them, Pieve a Elici.
